The system of knowledge
What keeps your plant running shouldn't live in one person's head.
Machine Mesh brings your engineering manuals, maintenance history and practical know-how together in one AI-powered assistant. Engineers can troubleshoot faults, find proven fixes and tap into the knowledge of your most experienced people, on every shift, with the original source documents to back it up.
The missing layer
Your plant has a system of record. Not a system of knowledge.
Machine Mesh complements your existing ERP and CMMS rather than replacing them. It captures your manuals, work orders and fault history, plus video of fixes, handwritten notes and end-of-shift reports, and turns them into guidance anyone on site can act on. Start by uploading the manuals, maintenance records and procedures you already have. No integration required to start. Connect your other systems later as your needs grow.

Watch it in use
See Machine Mesh solve a real breakdown.
See it work
Your best engineer's knowledge. On every shift.
Screens from the Machine Mesh app, working from real equipment manuals. Yours will work from your own documents.
Prompt
Is the alarm on this screen set correctly for production?
Photograph the screen. Check it against the manual.
Take a photo of a control panel, component or equipment nameplate. Machine Mesh analyses the image alongside your own manual, helping you identify components, check settings and troubleshoot faults, with the supporting page open beside it.
- Matches the photo to your own manuals and drawings
- Source references so engineers can verify the guidance
- The source page opens beside the answer

On the shop floor
The knowledge goes where the engineer goes.
Machine Mesh works on phones and tablets as well as desktop, and can be deployed as an app. An engineer at the machine asks a question in plain language, or photographs the fault, and gets guidance with the source page alongside.
- Use it at the machine, not back at a desk
- Photograph a control panel, component or nameplate and ask about it
- Page references on every recommendation, so it can be checked on the spot

Fix faults faster
Find the right technical information without hunting through manuals.
Stop solving the same problem twice
Make previous repairs and lessons learned easy to find.
Keep expertise in the business
Capture practical know-how before experienced engineers move on.
The Dave problem
Every plant has a Dave.
Meet the engineer who knows why Line 3 trips on cold mornings. It isn't in the manual. It isn't in the CMMS. When Dave retires, moves on or is off shift, that knowledge becomes difficult, sometimes impossible, to access.
Without Machine Mesh
- OEM manuals in a cabinet, PDFs on a shared drive, logs in Excel, photos on phones
- “Ask Dave” is the process
- A 2am breakdown means a phone call
- New engineers can take months to become fully effective
With Machine Mesh
- One place to ask questions across all your engineering knowledge
- Photograph the part and ask what it is
- Recommendations include references to the supporting documents
- Capture a proven fix once. Make it available to every shift.
US$36,000
an hour of unplanned downtime, in the lowest-cost sector Siemens surveyed (FMCG). In automotive it is about US$2.3 million. Siemens, The True Cost of Downtime 2024. That is an industry estimate for a whole sector, not a figure for your factory, but faster access to the right fix is one way to shorten any stoppage.
How it works
From your documents to working knowledge in three steps.
01
Upload your engineering knowledge
Start with the documents you already have: manuals, maintenance logs, procedures, technical drawings and repair records. Start with one site.
02
Ask questions in everyday language
Engineers describe a fault or upload a photo, in plain English or in the language they speak. Machine Mesh searches your engineering knowledge to find the relevant information.
03
Get guidance you can verify
Review the guidance alongside its supporting documents, and capture new knowledge to help the next engineer.
How new knowledge gets in
Capture a fix once. Every shift can use it.
1
Record it
An engineer films the repair on a phone, snaps a photo, or types or scans a note or end-of-shift report.
2
Upload it
Your engineer decides what to add, and uploads it from the app. No integration or special equipment.
3
It's processed
Automatic: Machine Mesh transcribes the spoken explanation, reads the text and handwriting, and links it to the equipment concerned.
4
Everyone can use it
Review: we recommend a senior engineer checks a new fix before it is relied on. Then the next engineer who asks gets it, with the original video or note to check against.
Works with the documents you actually have
Your free 30-day trial
Free for 30 days. From first document to a decision.
Day 1
Send us your documents (free)
Manuals, SOPs, maintenance logs, drawings. Start with one site and the equipment that causes you most trouble.
Within days
We set up and onboard
We load your knowledge and onboard your engineers, free of charge. The trial needs no connection to your plant systems and no IT project. Systems can be connected later.
Weeks 1 to 4
Ask real questions
Up to 10 engineers use it on real engineering questions and maintenance scenarios, and capture fixes as they go.
Day 30
You decide
Stop with no fee and your data is deleted, or move to a paid installation. Connect your other systems then, if you want to.
Fits what you already run
Not another CMMS.
Machine Mesh is the knowledge layer. It sits alongside SAP PM, Maximo, your CMMS, SharePoint and shared drives. You keep your systems of record. Your engineers get the knowledge those systems can't give them.
Start with one site. Add more when it has proved itself.
Record a fix on video
Film a repair on a phone and upload it. Machine Mesh turns what was said and shown into searchable knowledge for every shift.
Search drawings, not just text
Explore technical drawings, including P&IDs, wiring diagrams and scanned pages, with source references.
Engineers stay in control
Your engineers help improve the knowledge available to everyone.
Role-based access
People only see the information they are authorised to see.
On every shift, at the machine
Works on phones and tablets, and can be deployed as an app. Built for rotating shifts and 24/7 operations.
No OT connection needed
Starts from documents. No live plant data or control-system access.
Who it's for
Built for the people who keep the line running.
Give every shift access to the knowledge.
- Fewer “where's the manual?” calls on and off shift
- New engineers become productive faster
- What your best people know stays when they move on
Trust and security
Guidance you can verify. Data that stays yours.
Built to be checked
Guidance comes from your own documents, not the internet. Every recommendation includes source references, so engineers open the page beside it and verify before they act.
Your data stays yours
Your documents and questions are never used to train AI models. Each customer's data is completely segregated, hosted in the EU, with role-based access.
Clean exit after the trial
If you don't take the trial forward, all your data is deleted completely and immediately.
Security you can ask about
ISO 27001 certification is in progress. Ask us for the security details and we'll walk your IT team through them.
What is downtime costing you?
What could faster fault resolution save your factory?
Every minute of unplanned downtime costs money. See how even a modest reduction in repair time could translate into significant annual savings.
Engineering time spent searching
Start from 15% or try your own figure. Searching time assumes half is saved. It is an illustrative scenario, not a guaranteed result. Your actual savings will depend on your equipment, maintenance processes and how Machine Mesh is used.
What unplanned downtime costs you now
£648,000 a year
216 hours of stopped production a year
Illustrative annual savings
£97,200 a year
32.4 hours of production recovered, if repairs are 15% quicker.
Engineering time saved searching
£27,600 a year
690 engineer hours a year, if searching takes half as long.
Combined illustrative savings: £124,800 a year. Less downtime is the bigger prize.
The starting figures are placeholders, not benchmarks. The improvement figure is an illustrative scenario; the 30-day trial is how you find your real number, on your own documents.
About us
Built by people who understand factories, engineering and AI.
We didn't start with the technology and look for a problem. Our team has worked in manufacturing operations, enterprise systems and applied AI, and we have seen first-hand how maintenance teams lose hours to fragmented information: manuals in one place, work orders in another, and the real fix in one person's head.
Machine Mesh is built by NordMind AI, a Derby company that brings manufacturing operations, engineering and applied AI together. We work the way plants work: we start from the documents you already have, we don't need a connection to your control systems, and you can get started in days.

Questions
The ones engineers ask first.
How is this different from searching SharePoint or a shared drive?
Search returns a list of files you then have to open and read. Machine Mesh reads them for you and returns the answer, with the document and page it came from, so you can check it in one click. It also understands photos, drawings and scanned pages.
We already have a CMMS or SAP PM. Why do we need this?
You don't replace it. Your CMMS records work. Machine Mesh holds the knowledge that helps people do the work: manuals, SOPs, past fixes and the know-how that never got written down. It sits alongside what you run today.
Why not just use ChatGPT?
A general chatbot answers from the internet and has never seen your equipment. Machine Mesh works from your own manuals, procedures and fault history, shows the source page for every recommendation, and keeps your data private and never uses your documents or questions to train AI models.
Isn't this just a chatbot on our manuals?
Answers are drawn from your documents, not from the internet, and every one cites its source page so engineers can verify it. Source grounding helps, but it doesn't guarantee accuracy, so engineers should verify critical guidance. Engineers can also flag and correct answers. It's built around maintenance documents: drawings, procedures, logs and photos.
How long does it take to set up?
Days, not months. There's no connection to your plant systems. You send us documents, we set up one site, and your engineers start asking real questions.
What documents does it work with?
OEM manuals, SOPs, maintenance logs, spreadsheets, P&IDs and wiring diagrams, photos, videos and handwritten notes. Scanned and inconsistently formatted documents are supported.
Does it work on phones and tablets?
Yes. Machine Mesh works on mobile and tablet as well as desktop, and can be deployed as an app, so engineers can use it at the machine and take a photo of a fault as they ask.
Does it work in other languages?
Yes. Answers can be translated in one click, so an engineer can read the fix in their own language.
Where does our data go, and who can see it?
Data is hosted in the EU and access is role-based, so people only see what they're authorised to. Each customer's data is completely segregated, and your documents and questions are never used to train AI models. ISO 27001 certification is in progress. Ask us for security details and we'll walk you through them.
What does the free trial include?
It is completely free. You get up to 10 users, up to 300MB of uploads and full onboarding from us. After 30 days you either stop with no fee, or move to a paid installation. If you don't continue, all your data is deleted completely and immediately.
What does it cost?
Pricing is per site. Use the 30-day free trial to prove the value on your own documents first. We'll talk through the numbers once you've seen it work.
